Sponsors, Exhibitors Key to NRA Convention

Every year, industry members from around the globe travel to the National Renderers Association (NRA) annual convention to hear, discuss, and hash out pressing issues facing the rendering industry. The convention also provides the opportunity to network with colleagues and industry suppliers.

Part of the success of each convention is credited to the many sponsors and tabletop exhibitors. To bring awareness to those companies who provide this support to the industry’s yearly meeting, each was invited to provide a brief summary of the company and its products and/or services. Following is an alphabetical guide to this year’s NRA convention sponsors and exhibitors who responded to the invitation by press time.

BioDiesel International
Parkring 18
A-8074 Grambach
Graz, Austria
(43) 316-4009-100
www.biodiesel-intl.com

BioDiesel International (BDI) in Graz, Austria, is a world leader in multi-feedstock biodiesel plant technology. Not only has BDI built up its international reputation on engineering, erecting, and start-up services, but is also known for excellent customer support and after sales service.

A main focus of BDI is the rendering industry, where the company successfully realizes biodiesel plants in the United States and Europe to the full satisfaction of its customers since 1998. The key to this success is the proven BDI multi-feedstock technology, processing feedstock with up to 20 percent free fatty acids without losses to high quality biodiesel.

BDI’s current plant project for Argent Group Europe in Motherwell, Scotland, has a capacity of 50,000 tons per year and is directly connected to a rendering plant. Due to the fact that safe and effective means of disposing of animal by-products is becoming increasingly important in all European Union (EU) member states, this plant is receiving major European funding and represents the first demonstration plant within the EU for the production of biodiesel from tallow and used cooking oils.

Thus, BDI’s multi-feedstock biodiesel technology offers an integrated solution to recover a useful form of renewable energy from products previously increasingly considered as “waste.”
